TM Meditators' News

Dear Derbyshire TMers -

£700 teaching subsidy still available:

A benefactor has given our national charity, Maharishi Foundation, several thousand pounds to help people pay for learning Transcendental Meditation. This Centre has been allocated £1,000. It is being distributed in lots of £100 - our national finance office is deducting £100 each from the teaching fees of ten people nominated by this Centre. So far, three lots of £100 have been allocated, so £700 is still in the kitty. The money is intended for people who could not learn TM without this subsidy because of insufficient funds. I have emailed people who have attended an introductory talk but who have not yet learned, informing them of the subsidy. If you know of people who might qualify, whether or not they have attended an introductory talk, please contact me. There is no means test; the scheme operates on trust.

TM checking at Slaley House this week, Thursday 3 November. You can book into the following times: 11am, 2pm, 4pm, 7pm. No charge. £1 coin in box optional.

Thank you for inviting friends to Introductory Talks! Next talk at Slaley House: Tuesday, 8 November (7.30pm), repeated Wednesday, 9 November (2pm).

Next Gita reading is Sunday, 20 November at 7.30pm, with group meditation for TM meditators beforehand at 7pm. Please be prompt, especially for the meditation. Reading starts at chapter 4, verse 14. This section is about the art of action in the state of non-attachment. "Even the wise are bewildered here", says verse 15. Come and enjoy some bewilderment!

There is no need to say you're coming to a Gita reading. Just turn up. There's no charge - but you can put a £1 coin in one of the curious money boxes by the door if you wish.

 See you soon!
